Company
Alvi Xpress began at a kitchen counter in 2018, with a single cast iron skillet and a stubborn belief that the tools we cook with should outlive us.
Founder Alvee was tired of replacing the same nonstick pan every other year. She started sourcing pieces directly from small workshops in Tuscany, Seki, Birmingham and Oaxaca — pieces that had been made the same way for generations. What began as a few crates in a garage is now a curated 100-piece catalog stocked by home cooks across 27 countries.
We test every piece against the same three questions: Will it last? Does it perform as well in year ten as in week one? And — quietly important — does it earn its place on the counter? A tool you love to look at is a tool you reach for.
We work with 42 independent workshops. Most are family-run. We pay them in full, on time, and we'd rather raise our prices than ours. You can read about each maker in our Journal.
